Capodanno come ogni anno
Giorno di speranza pieno
Che accoglie nel suo seno
Quanto di buono gli uomini hanno.
As previous ones, new year’s day
Full of hope does stay
It holds in his breast
Of human beings the best.
Risvegliando le nostre menti,
La triste improvvisa pandemia
Porta via, o gennaio, coi tuoi venti, E ridai speranza ed allegria.
January, waking up our minds,
Take away with your winds,
The sad snap pandemic illness
and give back hope and happiness.
Che il febbraio freddoloso
Vicino al fuoco del camino
Indirizzi il tuo cammino
Ad un tempo più festoso.
Let the cold February in your place
Near the warmth of the fireplace
Steer your life pathway
Into a more agreeable way.
Che il marzo speranzoso
Col sole che fa schiudere dallo stelo
Il fiore che si proietta al cielo
Renda il tuo animo più gioioso.
Let the hopeful March
Which with sun makes from the stem hatch
The flower projecting outside
Make more joyful your soul inside.
Che aprile in primavera
Dagli armonici colori
Dai molteplici sapori
Gioia sia dal mattin fin’alla sera.
Let April give Joy with spring
All day long till evenìng
With harmonious colors
With multiple flavors.
E il maggio luminoso
Verde, piacevole e rigoglioso
Ti dia la sua dolce carezza
Che ti spinga alla purezza.
Let the bright May month
Green, pleasant and luxuriànt
Give you its sweet caress
That pushes you to pureness.
E il giugno tempo delle messi
Pronte per falciare
E poter entusiasmare
faccia che il piacer non cessi.
Let the June, harvest time
Ready to mow all the time
And able to make us thrill
Bestow pleasure still and still.
E il luglio caloroso
Quando risplende alta la luce
Ch’al piacere ti conduce
Ti renda più armonioso.
Let the sunny warm July
When the light shines high
Give you great enjoyments
And good life all moments
E agosto più solare
Sia sui monti che sul mare
al veder le stelle cadenti
che realizzi ogni sogno che tu senti.
Let August which is sunlight
Both on the sea and the height
When seeing the stars gone out
Make every dream be carried out.
E settembre ormai piovoso
Quando l’estate va in riposo
E fioriscono le rose
Ricchezze dia ad ampia dose.
Let September which is raining
When summer is in its going
And roses bloom Usually
give us large riches naturally
E ottobre quando al cader delle foglie
E le piante diventano spoglie
E le botti son pien di vino
Fa che Dio ti stia vicino.
In October when the leaves fall
And the plants become bare at all
And the barrels are full of wine
let God close to your fate and mine
E che a Novembre porti
Il gran Dio i suoi conforti
Sapendo che i tuoi cari son nel mondo del divino
Seguendo il naturale lor destino.
And make November bring
Divine comforts to uman being
Knowing ancestors are in sky
Following their last Bye-Bye
E poi a Dicembre ultimo mese
Tempo d’ auguri, regali e spese
Ti rendi conto che l’uom tanto propone
Ma solo Dio è quel che dispone.
In December when a year is stopping,
Time for greetings, gifts and shopping
You realize that human proposes
But in flowing life only God disposes.
E come il soffiar del vento
Fortemente io sento
Che un anno è già trascorso
e non puoi arrestarne il corso.
And as the winds make noises
Strongly I feel homesicknesses
For a year has had its progess
and you cannot stop the process.
